Served With Pryde: Community Lunch & Conversation

We’re very excited to announce the next Served With Pryde: Community Lunch & Conversation program on Monday, April 14th. We’ll be showing the acclaimed short documentary, “There Are Things To Do,” about visionary LGBTQ+ activist and leader Urvashi Vaid, followed by a filmed Q&A with Kate Clinton.

LGBTQ Senior Housing invites you to join us for a free community lunch and conversation with a screening of the short documentary “There are Things To Do” chronicling the life and legacy of Urvashi Vaid, an outspoken immigrant, lesbian and woman of color was a LGBTQ+ leader who believed in human rights for all people and helped shape the modern day gay rights movement. Her vision for the movement serves as a roadmap of initiatives & tools for generations of activists, particularly as the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & queer communities currently face backlash against equal rights.

The film is 18 minutes long and is followed by a pre-recorded Q&A with the film directors. Discussion questions will also be provided!
