BPL Author Visit: John Parra

John Parra is a best-selling, award-winning artist, illustrator, author, and educator, celebrated for his vibrant, culturally rich children’s picture books that honor Latino heritage and traditions. His works include:

  • Waiting for the Biblioburro
  • Frida Kahlo and Her Animalitos
  • Green is a Chile Pepper
  • Hey Wall: A Story of Art and Community
  • And his debut as both author and illustrator, Growing an Artist: The Story of a Landscaper and His Son

This author visit is for children ages five to eleven years old.
