MAC Spring Concert Series: The Franc Graham Band

The Franc Graham Band is a sound all their own. Playing the Boston area since the early ‘90s, they’re still riding the wave of last year’s release of their single, “Boston,” a love letter to the city. They’ve graced the stage with such greats as Odetta and Lucinda Williams, who dubbed herself “a Franc Graham convert.” Their sound… alt-Americana plus grit veering into low rock but maybe landing at what one Irish fan called “hillbilly hip.” Steve Morse of the Boston Globe christened them “immensely underrated, cool and commanding.” The band is stacked with greats: Chris Rival, Richard Gates, Tauras Biskis, and of course Franc on lead vocals & guitar. Their many albums stand the test of time with such legends as Jay Bellerose, Billy Conway, Jerome Deupree, and Paul Bryon.
