Jazz/Blues Concert Series: Alex Minasian Trio

Enjoy an evening of jazz with Alex Minasian Trio. Their musical selections will honor the legends of jazz music, including Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk, as well as music from the Great American Songbook. The trio includes pianist Alex Minasian, bassist John Sullivan, and drummer Lee Fish.

Alex Minasian was the last pianist for legendary vocalists Little Jimmy Scott and Mark Murphy. He has studied with some of the greatest pianists in jazz history, including Hank Jones, Don Friedman, Jean-Michel Pilc and James Williams, and has performed in many of the country’s most famous jazz rooms, such as Birdland, the Blue Note, Cafe Carlyle, Yoshi’s, Bohemian Caverns Iridium, Jazz @ Lincoln Center, the Village Vanguard and the Apollo Theater.
