Fall Concert Series – Ticklejuice

TickleJuice recalls the music of Sun Ra, Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, George Adams, and the whole pantheon of Improvisers of American Music of the 20th century, but leader James Merenda’s music is not imitative or derivative – a mature voice in contemporary music, assimilating the lessons of the masters, taking the next step and creating a vital, inspired and inspirational group. Profound, yes, but definitely not too serious.
