Creative Storytelling Workshops with Amanda Shea
Session 3: Legacy Collage: Building Our Life Maps
Each session will include light creative warm-ups, hands-on activities, and opportunities for participants to share, reflect, and celebrate their stories. Max. of 12 participants.
Overview: Participants create visual collages that map out their personal journey, using photos, magazine clippings, and quotes to express identity and lived experience.
Activities:
- Discussion: “What moments shaped you?”
- Guided collage-making with music and storytelling
- Optional group gallery walk and story-sharing
Takeaway: A personal life map collage (can be displayed at The Pryde or taken home)
These storytelling workshops are designed to honor LGBTQ+ elder voices, foster community connections, and create space for personal expression through poetry, visual art, music, and memory. Amanda Shea will guide each session with care, creativity, and intention.
