Session 2: Echoes: Storytelling Circle

Each session will include light creative warm-ups, hands-on activities, and opportunities for participants to share, reflect, and celebrate their stories. Max. of 12 participants.

Overview: A dynamic oral storytelling workshop focused on voice, presence, and power. Participants will share short personal stories and learn tools for performance and self-expression.

Activities:

• Intro to oral tradition and spoken word
• Vocal warmups and expressive techniques
• Participants rehearse and perform a 2–3 min story

Takeaway: Optional recording of their story (audio or video) for archive or family sharing.

These storytelling workshops are designed to honor LGBTQ+ elder voices, foster community connections, and create space for personal expression through poetry, visual art, music, and memory. Amanda Shea will guide each session with care, creativity, and intention.
