A solo play that explores the wild and absurd journey of a lioness of a woman and her daughter, until tables turn and a different landscape is navigated by both.

Bellina Logan
(Performer/Writer): Bellina is a 35 year veteran of stage and screen who has appeared at The Public Theatre, Playwrights Horizons and The New York Philharmonic in NYC. She debuted in Tony Kushner’s adaptation of Corneille’s play
The Illusion
at Hartford Stage, and gave memorable performances in
Shaw’s Arms
and
The Man, Sheridan’s The Rivals,
the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s production of Jane Wagner’s
The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in The Universe: Revisited
, among others. She toured Russia with The Acting Company’s
Five
by Tennessee and recently starred in Antaeus Theatre Company’s production of
Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
Bellina has worked with film directors David Lynch, Neil Jordan, Kathryn Bigelow, and Adrian Lyne. In television you know her from recurring roles on
Sons of Anarchy (FX),
Enlightened (HBO), ER (NBC), Midnight Texas (NBC), American Vandal (Netflix)
, and was a returning original cast member of
David Lynch’s Twin Peaks
(Showtime). She can also be seen in the second seasons of
Better Things
(FX) and
Big Little Lies
(HBO) and is currently featured on P
alm Royale
on Apple TV + now streaming and the feature film
Lonely Planet
(Netflix).
Bellina has enjoyed performing her solo play
‘Confessions of a Mulatto Love Child’
in Los Angeles, New York and other cities in the US for the past seven years. Bellina was honored to receive the 2018 and 2024 for Best Actress for her performance in
‘Confessions….
at The United Solo Theatre Festival in NewYork City.
Bellina is a graduate of The Juilliard Drama Division and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, actor Ben Bodé. She is also the proud mom to their lovely and talented daughter actress & writer Lola Bodé.
Maggie Soboil
(Director): Born in South Africa, Maggie Soboil became the country’s leading female satirist. As an actress, she won an Obie Award in New York for her performance in
Poppie Nongena
and starred in her own TV special for the BBC. She has directed theatre in New York and Los Angeles, and her feature film,
Myron’s Movie
, and her short film,
Missing You
, have played numerous festivals and generated best narrative feature awards. Her most recent film
LuLu
(featuring Bellina Logan) won the 2019 Jury Prize for best film and screenplay at the SMR13 International Independent Film Festival.
In addition, Maggie is the head of DreamAgo USA, part of the international organization DreamAgo, that brings together film professionals of all nationalities. It’s purpose is to nurture and promote the creation of cinematic works and the creation of cinematic works on all continents, offering support at each stage of their development. She is the creator of 3D Screenwriting (3dscreenwriting.com), an innovative program that gives writers the tools to create riveting three dimensional characters and she regularly gives workshops in Paris, and in Cuba.
Soboil directed Logan’s first show,
Conversations with a Mulatto Love Child
as well as the sequel,
Confessions of a Mulatto Love Child.
