Closing reception for the final Havana in Hyde Park Revisited exhibit, a solo show of still lifes from Humberto Aguiar Gil currently on view during library hours.
Born in 1974 in Cifuentes, Villa Clara Cuba, Gil was a founder of the Projecto Maguaraya Cifuentes Villa Clara, begun by the plastic artist Raul Santos Serpa. In Havana he participates in a group of plastic creators βFriendsβ where he actively participates. His works have been exhibited in Cuba and internationally and are found in private collections in Columbia. France, China, United States, Spain, Cuba and beyond. He is self-taught and known for his exuberant imagery and symbolism. He makes his home in Havana, Cuba.
Humberto’s original oils are on sale for $500 each, unframed. Also on sale are assorted prints from the previous print exhibit in the spring/summer.
