An array of colorful creations & voices of inspiration for an opening exhibit celebration full of funky vibrations by A Trike Called Funk.

On Sat May 2nd from 6-10pm at Roundhead Brewing Co., a funky sensation brings you colorful creations & voices of inspiration along with an opening celebration for a not-to-be-missed exhibit: A Trike Called Funk’s “Works & Words from the Street: Local Artistry & Oral History”!

Since 2021, A Trike Called Funk has been orchestrating participatory arts experiences in & around Boston with the aim of unleashing creativity & building community.

While celebrating funky music genres & dance forms spanning the Diaspora in the Americas, A Trike Called Funk’s activations have evolved to include graffiti-inspired visual arts activities.

This multidisciplinary exhibit brings together 22 medium-to-large scale pieces created by 17 local artists who have painted alongside A Trike Called Funk in recent years including:

As part of Mass Humanities “Expanding Massachusetts Stories” initiative, A Trike Called Funk interviewed these artists about their creative journeys, and audio highlights from their oral histories accompany each of their pieces. Bring your phone & earbuds to listen in.

Together with music by A Trike Called Funk & friends plus lighting & projections by Illuminus, this is your chance to move & be moved while enjoying Roundhouse’s delicious food & brews!
