Our experienced staff and volunteers will help each participant gain skills and confidence so you’re ready to venture onto the street and keep on rolling! This class is taught entirely in a parking lot. We will run through some fun activities to build skills like using hand signals\, shifting gears\, and riding in a steady line. You’ll get lots of practice and one-on-one support. This class is open to people of all genders. \nIf you cannot yet ride independently across a parking lot\, please do not register for this clinic. Our Basic Skills class is more appropriate. \n \nSi ya tienes habilidades básicas\, como arrancar\, parar\, y girar en bici\, pero necesitas más confianza para montar tu bici en la calle\, participa en un taller gratuito “Preparación para la calle” para adultos. DESCRIPTION:Participants will learn to create a small woven image of their choice using a frame loom\n\n\nTwo-Session Sunday Tapestry WorkshopJuly 12th & 19th at 2pm–6pmJoin Sam Fields for a two-session tapestry weaving workshop where participants will learn to create a small woven image of their choice using a frame loom. Over the course of two Sundays\, you’ll plan your cartoon (weaving design)\, explore color and composition\, and learn foundational tapestry techniques such as weaving shapes\, building forms\, and creating expressive texture. \nAll frame looms will be provided\, along with guidance on how to build your own at home. You’ll leave with a completed tapestry—or one well underway—and the confidence to continue weaving independently. No experience is required; this workshop is designed for absolute beginners as well as those looking to deepen their weaving practice in a supportive\, hands-on environment.
